USPHL Premier Players Of The Week: West Region

Pacific Division 

Forward: Simon Eriksson, Fresno Monsters

Eriksson (‘05/Sundsvall, Sweden) put away two goals and added three assists for five points against Ventura on Jan. 30. He now has 35 goals and 72 points in 37 games. 

 

Defense: Felix Heinas, Fresno Monsters

Heinas (‘05/Sundsvall, Sweden) scored a goal and five assists for six points over three games for Fresno. He now has 25 points in 32 games. 

 

Goaltender: Jacob Brumm, Henderson Force

Brumm (‘07/Las Vegas, Nev.) stopped all 27 shots he faced from Long Beach on Feb. 2 for his first USPHL shutout. That pushed his season record to 5-3-0-0 with a .914 save percentage. 

 

Northwest Division

Forward: Thomas Hickey, Bremerton Sockeyes 

Hickey (‘05/Tempe, Ariz.) recently registered four goals and added three assists for seven points over a recent three-game stretch. He has improved his totals to 26 points in 29 games this year. 

 

Defense: Filip Lezzani, Vernal Oilers

A key part of the Oilers’ first two teams that went to Nationals, Lezzani (‘04/Puchov, Slovakia) returned to Vernal in mid-January, and put up a 1-4-5 line against Colorado on Jan. 31, pushing his season totals so far to 15 points in five games. He currently has 97 points in 89 games. 

 

Goaltender: Creedon Dyck, Bellingham Blazers

Dyck (‘04/St. Albert, Alb.) went 2-0 in his games of Jan. 31 and Feb. 2 against Rogue Valley, stopping a total of 62 saves on 65 shots. Dyck holds a 12-7-0-0 record and a .914 save percentage for the season.

Selection Process: Divisional statistical leaders are presented to coaches, who are able to vote on the leaders, or nominate and vote on alternate candidates.
